Also called Chinese forest mushroom, golden oak mushroom, Oriental black mushroom, Emperors Mushroom. Welcome to the Shiitake Mushroom Center. We are located in the Ozark Mountains of North Central Arkansas. We are proud of the extra time and attention we devote to producing the World's finest Shiitake mushrooms the old fashioned way - on native white oak logs. Our methods are time-honored and proven to produce gourmet shiitake that is organically certified by ICO, in conjunction with, the Arkansas Plant Board. Shiitake is the world's premier Gourmet AND medicinal mushroom. While shiitake mushrooms are often grown on "artificial logs" (or substrate), the shiitake which is painstakingly grown on natural logs provides far more health benefits.
